Mount Wutai in Xinzhou, north China's Shanxi Province, welcomed its first snowfall of the winter, turning the landscape into a scene straight out of an ink-wash painting. Ancient temples and pagodas emerge faintly through the mist, a tranquil sight that has drawn many visitors. Meanwhile, the scenic area has issued a safety reminder for tourists.
